The sauce is made up of aromatics, crab, tomato paste, dehydrated porcini stock, ginger gastrique, fish sauce a dash of cream & parm to create a luscious glaze for the pasta. The sauce is both sweet & spicy w/ginger notes that take on secondary layers of flavor, while the primary notes are floral from the Thai basil that is tossed into the pasta. This, alongside the chilis & crab help, reintroduce the sweet & spicy profile that is carried throughout the dish. Yumm.
